I wish the Muppet Show was still on TV!

Growing up the Kid always liked watching the Muppet Show, today I spent far too much time on YouTube. The following are 5 of the better Muppet clips that I watched.

1.) Timing is everything with Animal and Pepe the King Prawn. I bet you forgot that there was a King Prawn muppet. Animal was always one of my favorites.

2.) The Muppets signing Bohemian Rhapsody, they sing it almost as good as Queen.

3.) Beaker signing Feelings. The Kid used to be able to play Feelings on the Organ. Now that is a story for another day.

4.) The Muppets signing Danny Boy. Animal has a nice solo!

5.) Last but not least is a compilation of Statler and Waldorf, these guys always made my day.

WHAM! BAM! POW! Holy strawberries Batman!

WHAM! BAM! POW! Holy strawberries Batman! We're in a jam!  When the Kid was growing up we only had 9 TV channels. One of the shows that was always on was reruns of the Batman TV show. I always looked forward to the fight scenes, which were always in slow motion. In case you were curious the show only ran for three seasons, from 1966 to 1968, for a total of 120 episodes.

The Incredible Hulk

The Kid finally watched the Avengers movie. I know, I'm a little late in watching it. I thought that The Hulk made the movie. It's probably because when the Kid was growing up I used to watch the Incredible Hulk TV show, Lou Ferrigno was huge! Did you know that Lou won two Mr. Universe titles.

Are you ready for some Football!

Training camp has started for the 2013 season. It’s only a matter of time now! When the Kid was growing up the Dallas Cowboys were his team. I always liked Randy White, probably because I was a tackle. In case you were curious Randy White was elected to the Football Hall of Fame in 1994.

Peanuts Gang

As a kid you knew it was getting close to Christmas when the Trilogy was shown on TV, and no I’m not talking about Star Wars or Lord of The Rings. When ‘The Kid’ was growing up it was all about the Peanuts gang! I enjoyed reading the funny papers, but it was the TV shows that sealed the deal. There was nothing better than watching “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown”. I still think that Linus will one day see the Great Pumpkin.

Then you knew it was time for the official countdown to Christmas, when Mom informed you that “Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” was on tonight. It still kind of annoys me that Lucy pulls the football away from Charlie Brown, that is just not right.

The end game, Santa time was when the “A Charlie Brown Christmas” special showed up on the TV! Who can forget Snoopy decorating his doghouse? Life was a lot simpler back then. I still try to watch the shows every year, but it seems like my life is always too busy to catch all three.
